Student research assistantship in dissolved organic matter reactivity

Motivated PhD or MS-level students are sought for a research assistantship  at Kansas State University to study the reactivity and transport of
dissolved organic matter (DOM) in reducing groundwater and DOM interactions with metals, microbes, and arsenic.

Applicants are expected to have a strong background in environmental science or engineering or related discipline. The successful student will conduct fieldwork in the US and Botswana (southern Africa), design experiments, and characterize organic matter with spectroscopic techniques, including fluorescence and GC-MS.
